MariaDB 10.1 is the current stable series of MariaDB. It is an evolution of MariaDB 10.0 with several entirely new features not found anywhere else and with backported and reimplemented features from MySQL 5.6 and 5.7.

MariaDB 10.1.9 is a Stable (GA) release.

Notable Changes

• CONNECT engine updated to version 1.04.0003.

  • numerous new JSON User Defined Functions.

• The SHOW SLAVE STATUS field, seconds_behind_master, is now, with parallel replication, only updated after transactions commit.

• Includes all bug fixes from MariaDB 5.5.46, MariaDB 10.0.22, and MariaDB Galera Cluster 10.0.22 releases.

• Fixes for the following security vulnerabilities:

  • CVE-2015-7744

  • CVE-2016-0610

  • CVE-2016-3471
